Today turned out to be my last day at BankInvest. Yes I got sacked after 8 years and almost a month. It’s part of the downsizing of 21 positions BankInvest is executing today and it is really onreal. I have been preparing for the impact for a couple of weeks, since we knew somebody had to be let go and it could be anybody.
I really really really do not like it, but I am kinda ok. It helps that I at least have my paycheck for 8 months more, but I really don’t look forward to have to go out and sell my self and present my strong sides again in the pursuit of a new job.
Hopefully I now get to work with interesting stuff like Drupal and iPad apps – that is what I would really like to do.
But for now I think I will go for a long run – 11km seems like a good goal for today.
